No man truly wants a girl who’s just like one of his boys. No matter how much he tells her he does and he raps/sings/writes about it…it’s just not true.
Men want someone who can hang, yes. Someone who won’t be grossed out by a convo about the NBA Finals or the Superbowl, yes. But we also need balance.
A man needs a girl who will come over and smell good, maybe fix up the room a bit while he showers (cause he finished working out and has been sitting in his sweat up until about 30 sec before she walked in), etc etc. A she who’s like a he won’t really ADD anything to his life other than the occasional intercourse; and if she truly does act like one of his boys then he’ll prob pass on the intercourse most nights.
A girl must also NOT throw herself at a guy if she plans to be his wifey. Yea yea…guys say this and that…but when it comes down to it..he will not WIFE a girl who throws herself at him. They may date and play for years even..but she won’t be his main or his only girl.
Guys expect to be the ones chasing the girl. The chase makes the prize so much better. I’m not saying sit on your pedestal and kick his chin every time he gives you a compliment, but let him holla a bit. It’s good for him, and you. Haven’t you ever seen on Animal Planet how a cheetah won’t chase a gazelle that is not running? or haven’t you experienced a situation where a girl really wants a guy and he likes(-ed) her until she completely throws herself at him? It’s all the same thing.
Balance is key.
Men should be men, women should be women. That’s how things will work best. Afterall, a woman doesn’t want a man who wants to go get a mani/pedi more than she does. Nor does a man want a woman who is more hyped for his bestfriend’s superbowl party than he is.

that must be what i’ve been doing wrong all these years… being a bit of a sports buff (fluff). i figured that out, though, not too long ago… guys like to tell me i’m like the perfect chick… because they can talk about anything to me and because, apparently, our sexual appetites match up.
but, maybe i was “too cool”.
next time, i’ll be sure to quote the star’s stats while doing my make-up.
